ABOUT US
David Townsend was brought up on their family farm on the borders of Herefordshire, and then later took up a career in Mechanical engineering. Christina was born and lived in Birmingham, training in retail. In later years David and Chris moved back onto the farm of David’s childhood.
David was born into a Christian home and gave his life to Jesus at the age of eleven. David saw a number of God instances, meeting Christians on his life’s journey who gave rich Godly council in order to fulfil God’s calling on his life. At the age of thirty five David was catapulted out of his church by the Holy Spirit and joined the Assemblies of God church in Worcester.
For 30 years David was part of the Assemblies of God Church in Worcester. During that time David met Christina and were married. Most recently they have joined a small young budding “Elim Pentecostal Church “The Source” in the foot hills of Malvern.
Both Christina and David have had a calling their lives for mission. Ever since the fall of communism in Romania they were given the opportunity to encourage the Christians in the south west of the country in and around the city of Targu Jiu. Three years ago they had the opportunity with donations received from their fellow Christians here in Britain to be able to purchase a piece of land and build a Christian Community Centre, just outside the city in a village called Preajba. Already a children’s and teenager’s work has started with the hope of opening workshops for the benefit of the local folk as a means of sharing the Gospel.
