Through a very generous donation here in England Pastor Viorel was able with the help of members of the congregation to renew the floor, re- plaster and paint the walls.
Much of the electrics needed replacing. The wood burning stove needed to be re-sighted at the rear of the church.
Mission to Sadu June 2015
It was on the second Sunday we were at Sadu church for the Sunday service joined by Elaine Spencer from Birmingham that the Lord moved in the hearts of a small number of the folk in the congregation. This Sunday we arranged a buffet lunch after the service. After the service and during the eats Pastor Viorel called Chris and I into the Pastor’s study to prayer with a lady Titina. She had family and health issues, Praise the Lord while Viorel translated Chris led her to the Lord. We thought we had done our duty, but it was so amazing we had the opportunity to pray with three more ladies suffering from a variety of issues. Elaine attended with us for two of the ladies. It was truly amazing we felt Gods presence so tangibly and strong, we give God all the Glory.
Also in the congregation was a member of the Pentecostal church in the city of Targu Jiu. Viorel had been asked to invited children to the church that had previously received shoe boxes, most of them had not attended the church since. The member of the Pentecostal church would then give each of the children a book. It showed by the number of children visiting there is a great opportunity to recommence a children’s work in the village, we can see children would come.
On the third week of our visit we were joined by Tony Malcom a Methodist Superintendent from Birmingham. Tony had the opportunity to preach at the Sadu church and the Pentecostal church in Targu Jiu as well as meet the children at the Saturday Club in Preajba and the teenage orphans at No.3. Tony had brought with him a parachute which all the children and young folk loved.
